What is the best way to get to Beechworth?

Driving

From Melbourne: Make your way to the Hume Highway – then take the Beechworth exit (clearly marked). Drive along Beechworth-Wangaratta Road (C315) following the signs to Beechworth until you arrive at the township.

From Albury/Wodonga:
When on the Hume Highway, pass Albury then turn off at the Tallangatta/Beechworth turn.  Follow the signage to the Wodonga -Beechworth Road (C315) and then follow the signs to Beechworth.

Flying

There is an airport located in Albury which is approximately 45 mins from Beechworth.

Buses

There are buses that run from Albury/Wodonga to Beechworth, however these do not run on weekends.

Trains

Trains are a great option and run from Melbourne, where you would get off at Wangaratta and then get straight on a bus for Beechworth.  There are also trains that run from Sydney through to Albury where connection with buses to Beechworth is limited (see above).

How do I make a booking?

Bookings can be made by request via our website.

Direct deposit is our most popular method of payment and incurs no fees.

When I book my accommodation, do I have to pay a deposit?

A 50% deposit will be required at time of booking.  Any bookings made within 30 days of the arrival date will require full payment at the the time of booking.

Do you charge a credit card fee?

Fees for payment by credit card do apply.  Payment by Direct Debit does not incur any fees and is our most popular method of payment.

When do I have to pay the balance of my accommodation?

Full payment of booking is required 7 days prior to arrival.

What time can I check into my accommodation?

Check in time is provided with your check in details.  Early check ins are available for an additional fee when possible.  Please enquire when you book.

What time is check out?

Check out time is provided with your check in details.  Late check outs are available for an additional fee when possible.  Please enquire when you book.

Where do I collect the keys?

All our properties have a keys on site – details of where to find the keys will be provided with your check in details.

What if I break something during my stay?

If you accidentally break something – please let us know.  Most things we will absorb.  It would only be larger items that we would ask for compensation or reimbursement for.

What should we bring with us?

All linen and towels are supplied.  There is also body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash.  Toilet paper (limited supply), dishwashing liquid and basic cleaning supplies.  Tea, coffee, milk (small UHT) and sugar are provided. Our properties also have hair dryers.

How do I find the address of my accommodation?

The address of your accommodation is displayed on your check in details which will be sent to you 2-3 days before your arrival.

What if we leave something behind?

If you should realise you have left something behind – please contact us as soon as possible.  We always endeavour to return any items to their owners – no matter how big or small.  This will be at your cost.  Please note due to our limited storage facilities, we cannot hold onto lost belongings for extended periods.  We will also contact guests if the cleaners find any items.

Are we allowed to bring our pets?

Pets are only permitted in properties that are advertised as ‘pet friendly’.  Guests are responsible for the removal of all droppings, bones and filling of any holes made by the pet.  Additional charges will apply if cleaners have to pick up droppings or bones from inside or outside the property (within the boundaries).  Pets are also not allowed on any furniture or carpeted areas.

Do we have to clean the property before we leave?

Prior to departure we ask that the following is completed:

  • Wash, dry and pack away all dishes or run the dishwasher if there is one
  • Furniture tidy, same position as you found it
  • Dispose of all rubbish to the appropriate outdoor bins provided
  • Clean the BBQ if used (in properties where provided)
  • Lock doors and windows
 Are there charges if the house is not left clean on our departure?

Excess cleaning charges will apply if the property is left in an unsatisfactory state.

What happens if the house is not clean on arrival?

Should you arrive and the property isn’t cleaned – please contact us on info@beechworthshortstays.com.au immediately to let us know.  We will be sure to address it immediately.
